Overshadowed by the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics, the Bruins have become irrelevant in their own city. The team that dominated Boston sports in the 1970s has been closer to the Revolution than the Patriots on the interest meter in recent years.



But the Bruins are demanding attention as the league's best team. They are tied with the Rangers and Red Wings for the second-most points (36) in the league, five behind the Sharks.
